Whether you're looking for similar Yorkshire owner in your neighborhood for the occassional playdate or would like to be a part of larger meetup opportunities, Chicago Yorkies is an active group. The purpose of our group is to 1) provide socialization opportunities, 2) educate owners on care and nutrition, and 3) provide fun educational events with speakers and presenters.

Meetup.com is about connecting in person with others of similar interest, Meetup is NOT Facebook. Our members are active members who attend events and participate in our community. We look forward to working with all members to foster engaging and fun activities for community of Yorkshire Terrier owners in the City of Chicago area. Meetup events provide great opportunities for socialization and exchange of experiences and tips from other members raising Yorkies. Some important benefits of socialization:

• Enables your dog to more easily accept change, new people, challenges and promote appropriate interactions with other dogs.

• Reduces barking, object guarding, chewing, separation anxiety, and dog to dog aggression.
